Our History
Red Zone Motorsports carries forward a Dayton-area collector-car restoration tradition that predates the Red Zone name. Around 2005–2006, David Shriner acquired Morris Auto Restoration of Bellbrook, Ohio, and began a new chapter under the Red Zone Motorsports name.
Before the transition, Morris Auto Restoration had become known among serious collectors for concours-level restoration work. Its documented projects included significant Cadillacs and Corvettes, including a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham restored over a three-year period for collector Robert Werner. That car went on to earn numerous First and Best-in-Class honors at major concours events and was featured in Hemmings Classic Car. RM Sotheby’s continues to identify Morris Auto Restoration by name in the car’s provenance.
Period records from the National Corvette Restorers Society also document Morris Auto Restoration’s work on significant Corvettes, including a complete renovation of a 1963 split-window Corvette.
Following the acquisition, Red Zone Motorsports developed its own identity, clientele, and body of work while continuing the tradition of high-quality restoration, fabrication, paint, and mechanical work.
Different eras. One continuing passion for exceptional automobiles.
